We would like to thank all of the referees who volunteered their time over this hectic weekend: Don Luckhaupt, Larry Mickey, Ken Kollar, and Mark Jeffrey for the time they gave to the tournaments.

FALL SESSION PRIZE FUND CHECKS:

All checks were finally mailed out by December 31, 2002. All captains should have divided the money with the players by now. If you have not received your part of the Prize Fund check, please contact your captain. If you do not get a response from your captain, please call the League Office.

FALL 2002 TOP GUN TOURNAMENT:

A big thank you and congratulations to the 48 entrants in the

Top Gun Tournament. You all had great sessions in your prospective leagues. After a very gruelling day, Jeff Robinson prevailed as the winner beating Chris Frederick winner of the loser bracket. Lee Nash finished 3rd. Russell Hoffman came in at 4th. A fourth of the field shared in the prize fund.

SPRING SESSION:

We have had several schedule changes since week one. It is not feasible to put the changes on the website every 2 hours during a given day. Every effort will be made in the future to update schedules, team standings, top gun, etc. every Friday afternoon. If these reports are not out on the website on Friday afternoon, then they will be out on Monday by noon.

We are currently out of Break n Run patches. They have been ordered. As soon as they come in we will send them out in the team envelopes.

WEB SITE:

Our updated website has a lot of information on it for you to review. Log on to apacolumbus.com to see the enhancements. You can obtain division schedules, division standings, weekly team points, and top gun/performance (previously MVP). We are currently having problems with duplicate player numbers on teams in 3 different divisions (022,222,616). Until we can get this issue resolved, the Top Gun report will not be available for these divisions.

These reports are updated on the website by Friday noon with the exception of divisions 241, 242, 637, 046, and 871. These divisions will be updated by Monday noon. This will be with whatever information we have. We will not be updating any other times.

Please use the website to print off information that you may want. There should be at least one player on each team who has access to the website. If there are no players on your team who have access to the internet, please let us know. We will then mail the necessary reports to you with your scoresheets.

SINGLES BOARDS:

We are starting a new session for singles boards. If anyone would like to run one, please call the office and we will mail the forms to you. If you set dates, we can get the information out to players in your area. If you still have one that wasn't used from before, please either return or set up a singles board and use it. Thanks.

The Spring Singles Regional tournament will be held at the Golden Eight Ball on March 1st and 2nd. The National APA will mail letter s of invitation to all contestants who have won singles boards between June 16 and November 30, 2002.

PERSONAL NOTES:

MARRIAGES: Matt and Jenni Bailey married ; Jeff Lindsey and Dawn Ziegler (they took the opportunity to get married during the tournaments in Vegas last August!)

BABIES: Kit Harris and Sunshine Sisco had a baby girl, Dawn Marie on January 17, 2003. Both mother and daughter are doing well.

DEATHS:

Parker Phillips, Lowell Nutter, and Gene Sebring. A great loss to each of the friends and family.

Please e-mail us if you have any information you would like to add to the newsletter.
