We would like to thank the following people who took the time out of their weekends to referee during these tournaments:  Chuck Hoppes, Mitch Haaf, Casey Fischer, and Larry Cox.

Ladies Tournament:

The ladies tournament was held April 14.  There were only 8 participants in this tournament.  Each player paid $10 to participate.  The tournament paid $120 to the top 3 players.  1st place went to Jackie Kauffman, who won $70.00.  Tracy Thompson came in 2nd, winning $35.00.  Tina Smith came in 3rd, winning $15.00.

9-Ball Tournament:

The 9-Ball Tournament was held on April 14th at the same time as the Ladies Tournament.  There were 19 participants in this tournament.  This is a singles tournament for players who have not had much exposure to 9-ball to play and learn the game without the weekly competition.  At the same time, it is a fun tournament for those who like the game of 9 Ball.  The tournament paid out $285 to the top 6 players.

SUMMER SESSION:

We are now in week 4 of the summer session.  Please make sure you have the most up-to-date schedule.  Captains, you are not reading the bottom of the scoresheet.  This is our method of communicating with you.  Please make sure you read the information and share with your players.

Cues will be delivered to captains who have put together a team of 5 or more new players after week 6.  If you think you are entitled to a free cue please let the office know.

PERSONAL NOTES:

Kevin and Candy Kirkpatrick had a baby boy, Kelton, on April 30.  He has been attending the tournaments, so many of you have met him.

David and Natasha Steiniger (newlyweds) had a baby recently.  Congratulations to both couples.

Tony Thompson, Lancaster was in an accident last Wednesday, June 6, and is still in Grant Hospital, Room 314, ICU.

Roger Coffey, Columbus,  has had great difficulties with his diabetes.  He has been in and out of the hospital (mostly in), and in Nursing Rehabilitation facilities.  This has been a struggle for him.  Please consider both Tony and Roger in prayers.  Thank you.

Please e-mail us if you have any information you would like to add to the newsletter.
