FALL TEAM PRIZE CHECKS:
All prize fund checks have been mailed to the captains. $41,055.00 was distributed to all teams. Captains, these checks are to be divided among all the players on your Fall team. Do not make a decision on what to do with the check without consulting the team players. The money received is a team effort and should be split accordingly. Also, players if you have not received the money from your captain yet, please call the league office.
FALL CAPTAIN AND CO-CAPTAIN TOURNAMENT
Now that the APA has a facility to house tournaments on an ongoing basis, we will be offering more tournaments for APA players. We held our first ever Captain and Co-Captain tournament on December 10. This was in appreciation of captains and co-captions efforts during a session. There was no cost to enter the tournament. This tournament will be held each and every session for captains and co-captains. The tournament was a success! 56 players participated. Total payout was $580.

FALL TOPGUN TOURNAMENT:
Topgun (MVP) Tournaments are held at the end of each session. They are based from the top gun reports. The top gun report reflects the wins a players get during the session (excluding playoffs). MP stands for Matches Played, MW stands for Matches Won and Topgun stands for the handicap of the player beat. We invite the top 10 players from each division via mail to the tournament. The player has a deadline in which to respond and mail in the $10 participation fee (non-refundable). The first 64 responses come to the tournament. These reports are out on the web site for you to follow on a weekly basis. If you ever see any discrepancies, please call the league office immediately. We do not include playoffs in the topgun report. The one we use to determine who is in the top 10 of your division is from the last week of the session. The 8-Ball added $280 to the total purse fund as well as lowering the cost of the tables to .50 per game.
The Fall Session Topgun Tournament was held January 7 at the 8 Ball Sports Bar and Billiards. 64 players pre-registered for the 3-5 slot. A total of 59 showed up to compete in that bracket. We had a total 30 players for the 6-7 skill level bracket. Both tournaments ran smoothly and were finished around 7pm. Winners of each were:
3-5 Skill Levels: Total purse for the 3-5 skill level players was $700, paying down 16 places. The 8-Ball Sports Bar and Billiards added 280.00 to the total purse fund as well as lowering the table cost to $.50 per game.
Winner of the tournament was Perley Clawson out of Lancaster, winning $250. 2nd place winner was James Fouty out Logan, winning $120.00

SPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS:
Teams were very generous in their compliments towards other teams this session. 215 to be exact. There was a tie this session between 2 Eastside teams, The Rumblers, Captain Donn Ogilvie and Money-8-Em-Up, Captain Jamie Smith. Congratulations, teams! Trophies will be given to these two teams at the Tri-Cup tournament January 20-22. It is so enjoyable to turn the scoresheet over and read nice comments about another team.

SPRING SESSION:
Some nights are completing the 6TH week of play while others are on the 5TH week. Because of changes to the Central Ohio APA League Structure, we have sent out a survey for all teams to complete. It is important that each player sign the survey.
To clear up membership fees questions: Membership fees are paid annually at the beginning of the year. Players that have only played in the fall session of the prior year and paid the $20 that year, only owe $10 for the current year. The reason you do not see fees owed for each player on the first week's scoresheets is because this software doesn't reset the year until January 1st and we have to get scoresheets out prior to that. If you had bonus points taken away for playing a player and he/she had not paid membership fees to play, please read #14 on Page 28 of the rule book. We are nice by only taking the points away from the player who wins and has not paid. We could take all team points away.
Scoresheets:
As a reminder, scoresheets are to be filled out neatly. Please make sure the correct player number is written in for the player playing. Write in the score for each player (games won) under the score column. The W-L column is where the W/L should be written in. At the bottom of the scoresheet, the total points should equal 5 between the two teams. Make sure these match unless there is a written reason as to why they don't. If they don't match or aren't filled in at all, it is difficult for us to know what wins/losses are for each team (particularly when nothing
at the top is filled in.) The bottom left corner is to be used for the money turned in. Please document the amount you are sending and what it is for. Also, please read the information on the bottom.
Bonus Points:
You receive bonus points for getting scoresheets in on time, scoresheets being filled out completely and neatly. This now includes the back of the scoresheets. If you think all players are at their ability, all you have to do is say "all ok" or just even put a checkmark across the back of the sheet.
Drop Off Location:
The Billiard Club is no longer a drop location. Please do not drop your envelopes off there anymore. Thank you.
MASTERS DIVISION:
We are still working on starting an in-house Masters League at the 8-Ball Sports Bar and Billiards on Wednesday evenings. This is a no handicap league. Each team consists of 4 players. 3 play each week. 9 ball and 8 ball formats are both played. Call the league office to get your team started.
SINGLES BOARDS:
Singles Boards will be run in Magnetic Springs at LeeDog's II (formerly Tack Room) on February 25.
DIVISION REPRESENTATIVES:
We are slowly getting Division Reps for divisions filled. If your scoresheet does not reflect a division rep and you are interested in becoming one, please contact the League Office.
